Education

• In 1995, he graduated from the Yerevan State Institute of Architecture and Construction.
  In 2009, he graduated from the Police Academy of the Republic of Armenia.

Service to the Armed Forces

• From March 13, 1996, to March 6, 1998, he served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

Work Experience

• By a decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia dated January 21, 2026, he was awarded the rank of Police Major General.
  By a decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia dated January 19, 2026, he was appointed Chief of Police – Deputy Minister of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
  From January 9, 2023, to January 19, 2026, he served as Director of the Rescue Service – Deputy Minister of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
  By a decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia dated May 27, 2024, he was awarded the rank of Major General of the Rescue Service.
  From May 7, 2021, to January 9, 2023, he served as Deputy Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia.
  From June 19, 2020, to May 8, 2021, he served as Head of the Ararat Regional Department of Police of the Republic of Armenia.
  From November 29, 2013, to June 19, 2020, he served as Deputy Head of the Tavush Regional Department of Police for Operations.
  From June 27, 2013, to November 29, 2013, he served as Deputy Head of the Tavush Regional Department of Police.
  From June 12, 2013, to June 27, 2013, he was in the personnel reserve of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
  From February 28, 2012, to June 12, 2013, he served as Chief of Staff of the Tavush Regional Department of Police.
  From December 30, 2011, to February 28, 2012, he was in the personnel reserve of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
  From December 19, 2011, to December 30, 2011, he served as Head of the Dilijan Division of the Tavush Regional Department of Police.
  From May 21, 2010, to December 19, 2011, he served as Deputy Head of the Dilijan Division of the Tavush Regional Department of Police for Operations.
  From July 27, 2004, to May 21, 2010, he served as an operative officer and senior operative officer of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ijevan Division of the Tavush Regional Department of Police.
  From June 11, 2003, to July 27, 2004, he served as an inspector of the Juvenile Affairs Unit of the Ijevan Division of the Tavush Regional Department of Police.
  From December 29, 2001, to June 11, 2003, he served as an engineer responsible for operational communications and special equipment at the Tavush Regional Department of Internal Affairs.

Awards

• By a decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia in 2025, he was awarded the Medal of Gratitude.
  By a decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia in 2016, he was awarded the Medal “For Excellent Maintenance of Public Order.”
  He has also been awarded medals and badges of the Police of the Republic of Armenia and other government agencies.

Activities in the field of international cooperation

• In 2023, he served as Armenia’s Political Focal Point at the Secretariat of the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group of the United Nations (INSARAG).
