Community Police

The Community Police is one of the four main pillars of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs  and operates across the entire territory of the Republic.

The main functions of the Community Police․

  • Prevention, suppression, and detection of minor and medium-severity crimes
  • Identification and location of wanted persons
  • Prevention and detection of administrative violations
  • Prevention of juvenile delinquency and domestic violence, and protection of persons subjected to domestic violence
  • Escort and security of arrested and detained persons
  • Daily communication with the public and building trust in the Police
  • Control over the circulation of weapons and ammunition, and issuance of permits

The tasks and functions of the Community Police are aimed at maintaining public order and preventing violations within communities. The Community Police cooperates with the public, local self-government bodies, and other entities, ensuring a rapid response, preventive action, and the protection of citizens’ rights.

  • What is the issuance of weapons permits

It is an administrative procedure carried out by the Police, through which individuals and legal entities are granted permits for civilian and service weapons.

  • The process of issuing weapons permits is regulated by the

 Law on the Regulation of Weapons Circulation, Order No. 4-N of May 11, 2023, issued by the Chief of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, as well as Government decisions and other legal acts.
